Our chosen music for our wedding day was a combination of all our favourite songs (old and new ). It also included many South African Classics and Bollywood Hits . If you are curious about any of the music you heard on the day, you can find links to all our Spotify playlists below:
If you spent enough time on our wedding dancefloor, you already know that we didn't get to hear all the songs we requested. If you were wondering about which songs didn't happen to make the final cut, you can find them on one of the following playlists:
(Looking back, it's not surprising that we barely got to hear most of these on the day; it's a lot!)
Now that our wedding day is over, we just wanted to say another big thank you to our official wedding party and our unofficial one too: this includes all our speakers and other special people who helped us out - in various ways - throughout the day.
Henry and Sameshni met when Sam first moved to Cape Town. They were both MA students in the UCT History Department at the time. They started dating in August of 2019.
Three years later, Henry moved to the US and Sam stayed in Cape Town. They kept in contact via video chat every day.
Henry proposed to Sam on her first visit to see him in the US. Six months later - with their families - they celebrated their engagement in Durban.

In December of the next year, Sam joined Henry in Michigan. This is now where the couple spends most of their time.
Sam and Henry finally celebrated their marriage with a wedding for all their family and friends. It was a perfect day.
